Pahud teaching Daphnis

Dear Flute-lovers,

A beautiful short video; well recorded.
Listen to the range of colour/dynamics and the breathing. My gosh the breathing!
Lots to witness. Enjoy!

Emmanuel Pahud plays RavelĀ“s Daphnis et Chloe (video)

Amazing. I love his playing. Like you said, the breathing, the lightness...his description of being like a dancer was a perfect metaphor.

Thanks for your input, Flutepeach. :>)
I'm interested in seeing the whole film on "Play with a Pro".
This snippet makes it really compelling for sure.
Thanks! Jen

Thanks for posting this Jen. The exquisite technique of Pahud is really something. I've missed reading your blog, but know you have a life and a book to write. Thanks for all your great advice and enthusiasm.

Thanks Flutery; good to hear that you find Pahud exquisite. That's what I thought too.
Yes, writing a book (or two) takes time, and blogs don't get as much writing during that time. So glad the advice and the enthusiasm are good!!! Best, Jen
